1. Overview

Scanora One ("Scanora One," "the app," "we," "us") is developed by Ashutosh Kumar. This policy explains what information the app accesses, what it stores, and what — if anything — leaves your device when you use Scanora One to scan documents and create QR codes.

The short version: the documents you scan and the codes you create stay on your device. We don't run a server that stores your content, and we don't require you to create an account. The main place your data touches anyone outside your device is through the advertising shown in the app, described in Section 5.

2. Data you scan or create in the app

Scanora One's core features generate content that is stored locally, in the app's storage on your device:

None of this content is uploaded to a server we operate. It is not visible to us, and we have no way to access it. If you delete the app, this data is deleted along with it (subject to anything Apple's own backup system retains, described below).

3. Permissions the app requests

iOS will prompt you to grant these permissions the first time a feature needs them. You can review or change them anytime in your iPhone's Settings app under Scanora One.

You can decline any of these permissions; the corresponding feature simply won't be available until you enable it.

4. Information collected automatically

Scanora One itself does not run its own analytics or crash-reporting service. Apple's App Store Connect provides us with aggregated, anonymized statistics (like download counts and crash logs) under Apple's own privacy terms — we don't receive anything that identifies you individually through this.

Separately, the advertising SDK described in Section 5 does collect some information automatically in order to serve ads.

5. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Scanora One is a free app and shows ads through Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), general device information, approximate location (derived from IP address), and ad interaction data (like which ads you saw or tapped).

On iOS, Scanora One complies with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If AdMob or its partners want to track you across other apps and websites for personalized advertising, you will see a system prompt asking for your permission. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less personalized.

This data is collected and processed by Google and its advertising partners under their own privacy policies, not directly by us — we don't have access to the raw data AdMob collects about individual users. You can read more about how Google handles this data here:

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not have a server, so we have nothing to hand over, license, or monetize beyond what's described above. The only outside party involved is Google AdMob (Section 5), which operates independently of us and is bound by its own privacy policy.

We may disclose information if required to by law, but since Scanora One doesn't collect or store your scanned content or created codes on any server we control, there is nothing of that kind for us to disclose.

7. Data retention and deletion

Your scans, created codes, and history remain on your device for as long as you keep them there. You can delete individual items directly within the app's History screen at any time. Deleting the app removes all locally stored Scanora One data from your device.

If you use iCloud device backups, a copy of the app's local data may exist in your iCloud backup as part of Apple's normal backup process — that backup is controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

8. Your choices

9. Children's privacy

Scanora One is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us using the details below and we'll address it.

10. International users

Scanora One is developed in India and available worldwide through the App Store. Because your content stays on your own device, it generally stays wherever you are. Where the advertising SDK processes data (Section 5), that processing is governed by Google's own policies and may involve international data transfers as Google describes in its privacy policy.

11. Security

Your scans and created codes are stored using iOS's standard app sandboxing and storage protections. As with any app, no method of storage is guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we don't transmit this content off your device, which limits its exposure.

12. Changes to this policy

If Scanora One's data practices change — for example, if we introduce an account system, cloud sync, or a new third-party SDK — we'll update this page and change the effective date above. We encourage you to check back periodically.
