BdayBell ("the app", "we") is a birthday and anniversary reminder app for iPhone. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. We built BdayBell to work fully offline, and that shapes everything below.
BdayBell does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the information you enter. Names, dates, relationships, notes, and photos you add for birthdays and anniversaries are stored only in the app's local database on your device. We do not operate a server that receives this data, and we cannot see it.
The app does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use any feature.
BdayBell only requests a permission when a feature needs it, and each request is optional — the app works without granting it, aside from that specific feature.
All app data lives in local storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing. If you have iCloud or iTunes device backups turned on, your BdayBell data is included in those backups the same way any other app's data is — that backup is managed by Apple, not by us.
Deleting the app removes its local data from your device. Since we hold no copy, that data cannot be recovered by us afterward.
BdayBell does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The "Share" and "WhatsApp" options in the Wishes screen simply hand your message to iOS's native share sheet or to WhatsApp if it's installed — we do not see what you send or to whom.
BdayBell is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children, in keeping with the "no collection" design described above.
Because everything stays on your device, you are always in control: edit or delete any entry inside the app, and revoke Notifications or Contacts access at any time in iOS Settings.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
